Irishman in Madrid / Un Irlandes en Madrid

Hi there ,

bit of a long shot this one but you never know....

I am writing because I am coming over to Madrid this Wednesday (14 Dec.) for 5 nights and am looking for accommodation. Instead of the usual hostel / pension route I was thinking you may know someone with a spare room who wants to make a bit of cash for a few days. Im 31 and lived in Bilbao for 3 years (10 years ago...as an English teacher), fluent Spanish. Plenty of experience in shared accommodation with international people so cool to live with.

I'm back in Ireland these days but I am thinking about moving over to Madrid next year and am just coming over now on a little exploratory mission. I shall travel up to Bilbao after a few days in Madrid to spend Christmas there as I have maintained alot of contacts in Bilbao.

Anyway, if you have any ideas on the accommodation front drop me a line.

Hola ,

Soy un irlandes (31 anos) , voy a Madrid este Miercoles (14 de Dic.) para 5 noches y en vez de quedarme en una pension/hostal estoy intentando encontrar un contacto de alguien que igual quiere alquilarme una habitacion en un piso.

Me gustaria mudarme a madrid en 2012 y este viaje es simplemente para explorar la ciudad un poco, a ver si me gusta suficiente. Despues del fin de en Madrid subire a Bilbao para pasar navidad visto que he mantenido mis contactos y amistades alli (Vivi 3 anos en bilbao hace 10 anos - trabajaba como profesor de ingles).
